Where green and gold meet at sunrise.

Rice terraces tumbling to the sea, ancient Hindu temples in jungle clearings, surf breaks at sunset, and the world's most spiritual spas. Bali wraps you slowly.

— A note on this destination —

Bali — done with care.

Bali is two islands. The southern coast (Seminyak, Canggu, Uluwatu) is beach, surf, sunsets and beach clubs. The interior (Ubud, Sidemen) is jungle, temples, healing, and rice terrace stillness. Most travellers split a week between both. We work with the family-owned villas and boutique resorts that retain Bali's spirit — and avoid the over-developed strip. May to October is dry season; April and September are the sweet spots.

— Best time to visit —

When to go.

Each season has its character — here's what to expect.

April – October
DRY SEASON · BEST OVERALL

Sunny days, low humidity, calm seas. April–May and September quieter than peak summer.

July – August
PEAK SEASON

European school holidays. Busy, but weather at its finest. Book hotels 6 months ahead.

November – March
WET SEASON

Afternoon downpours but mornings can be clear. Cheaper rates, lush rice fields. Surf bigger.

Nyepi (March)
BALINESE NEW YEAR

Day of silence — entire island shuts down for 24 hours. Extraordinary if you stay.

"
Our 50th birthday trip. Kishan put us at COMO Shambhala for 5 days then Bulgari Uluwatu for 4. The contrast was perfect — wellness, then glamour. The COMO doctor changed how I think about food. The Bulgari sunsets I'll remember forever.
